Pharmacist Consultations

Here at Roslyn Pharmacy, we have two fully equipped consultation rooms to allow our customers complete privacy while discussing their health concerns with one of our Accredited Pharmacists. New Zealand Pharmacists who are accredited by the Pharmacy Council are now able to provide customers with over-the-counter solutions for a range of health issues that were previously only available with a doctor's prescription. This makes it easier for customers to access the solutions they need without having to visit a doctor.  There is no appointment required for a consultation with one of our Pharmacists, just come in and see us.

Melatonin to Aid Sleep

Melatonin is a hormone that helps regulate your sleep cycle. It is released from the pineal gland in your brain when it is dark and helps make you feel sleepy. Melatonin also helps keep your body clock in sync, meaning that it helps you to fall asleep and wake up at the same time each day. As we age, our pineal gland becomes less efficient, and therefore, less melatonin is produced. This can lead to difficulty sleeping, or insomnia. It can also cause us to feel more tired during the day, and have reduced energy levels. If you are over the age of 55, and are experiencing trouble sleeping, come in and speak to one of our Acredited Pharmacist to see if melatonin can help you.
