If you get recurrent cold sores or genital herpes, you'll know how disruptive an outbreak can be. Antiviral treatment can help reduce how severe an outbreak is and how long it lasts.
If you've been diagnosed before, our pharmacists can supply antiviral treatment without you needing another GP visit. We'll talk you through how and when to take it, so you're ready to start at the first sign of an outbreak.
Treatment works best when it's started early, at the first tingling, itching or burning, or within a day of sores appearing.
Eligibility and cost:
Adults 18 and over
Previously diagnosed with recurrent herpes: cold sores on or around the lips or mouth, or genital herpes
Not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a weakened immune system
$50 per consultation
$5 for antiviral medication
